Students of Faculty of Engineering, University of Benin, called Team UNIBEN, broke grounds in an international competition - Shell Eco Marathon in Europe and South Africa in Oct. 2014 and won a distinguishing award for 'most innovative vehicle design' throughout Africa with its made in Nigeria car called Ecocruise.

For those of you who the price of cement has been stopping you from building, Dangote Cement Plc has announced a 41% reduction in the prices of cement, with the different grades now selling for between N1,000 and N1,150, exclusive of Value Added Tax. Now, 50kg of the 32.5 cement grade sells for N1,000, while the higher 42.5 grade will go for N1,150 per bag instead of the current N1,700 that both grades were sold for.

I recently stumbled on a thread that asked the question Why are you single, that got me thinking because I have never give that question any thought. I think the reason was because I am your typical career focused young man who rarely has the time to really invest in a relationship.

Moreover I discovered also one key problem is that I am very picky. I discovered that over the years I had used a certain set of criteria to screen potential love interests criteria that where some how embedded in my subconscious. On a closer look I discovered that these criteria where identical to traits possessed my mum. Moreover it is important to note that these criteria leaned towards character and behavior and less on physical look.

Who recovers faster from heartbreak?

Lately I have heard a lot of women say that men struggle more with moving on. You always see situations where the man just won’t let go no matter how hard the woman tries to tell him it’s over. It could be years since the breakup, and that man is still trying to get her back and make something happen.

Of course, we see women struggle too …but on the surface they seem to reach a point where they have moved on a lot quicker, well that is what many believe. They shed plenty of tears and experienced many sleepless nights. But now they appear to have accepted that it’s over. However, I don’t believe women recover faster than men. I also don’t believe men are better at moving on either. There are a lot of misunderstandings that lead to a belief that one moves on faster than the other, but lets take a deeper look.

Many women eventually learn the skill of “managing their emotions”. They have enough experiences of being emotionally vulnerable that they understand how to deal with them (in a way that they are “comfortable” with). They also learn how to take greater control by not putting themselves in emotionally vulnerable positions.

Local news Female Student Sells Her Newborn Baby For N620,000

A student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Vivian Iwuji andher boyfriend, Obinna Ugochukwu have been arrested by the Imo state police for selling their new born baby boy for the sum of N620,000.

Vivian who gave birth to a baby boy on August 2, 2014 decided with her boyfriend to sell their baby to a buyer, one Ehegalara Edwin who was also arrested by the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the Imo State Police Command, Owerri.
Luckily, the neew born baby boy was rescued from the buyer.
Their arrest was made possible by Vivian’s father, Mr Patrick Iwuji who reported to the police that him and his wife were aware that their daughter, Vivian was pregnant but he was not convinvced of his daughter explanation about the whereabout of his grand-child.
According to Mr Patrick Iwuji: “She told us that she was going to the hospital to deliver and when we visited her, we asked her about the baby. She told us that the baby was dead.“I didn’t believe her and there was no trace that my daughter’s baby was dead.

The Vatican is about to unveil a Facebook page for Pope Francis, as part of its strategy to expand the Catholic Church’s presence on social media, according to reports yesterday.
The pope already has nine different-language profiles on Twitter, attracting more than 12 million followers.

“Francis will soon have his very own profile on the world’s favourite social network.
“ The Vatican is just working on some final technical aspects before the Pope’s Facebook page is made visible to the public,” specialised website Vatican Insider said.
The Vatican was not immediately available for comment.
The report added that IT experts are working to prevent offensive or inappropriate messages appearing on the pope’s Facebook page before it is opened to the public.
In January, Francis said that the internet can help spread God’s message, noting that it offers immense possibilities for encounter and solidarity.

My name is Maryam Elisha, I am a fashion designer. I was once an ex beauty queen. I have been an ex model for about two years and I am still into it. I modeled for about 8 years before I retired into fashion designing. I modeled for so many companies like, MTN. I did bill-board, and TV ads for MTN.

Presently, I am a full time fashion designer. I have not really acted, though I love acting. I do not think I am called to act. Acting takes a lot of time trying to be what you are not, and I do not really love that. You know every career has its challenges.

Way back when I started  modeling , I had several challenges of casting.Most of the time, models are not well treated you have to wait  in line,  But, all those things are not really challenges because, I would tell you that, there   was money in modelling then. I made more money and I had fun. They paid me really well then unlike now that models are giving peanuts.

PARIS (AFP) – The Internet is powering Cupid’s wings in France, with use of online dating sites soaring, according to matchmakers preparing to help singletons maximise their seduction opportunities this Valentine’s Day.

Of the 18 million single people in France “one in two uses Internet dating” said Jessica Delpirou, director in France of the Meetic dating website, which was launched in 2001 and recently taken over by the US website Match.com.
